Those of you who attended choir on Wednesday will have heard Jeannie announce that the new Chair proposed by the Committee is Rachel – our current Librarian – to take over from Jeannie at the AGM on 30th October It was not a difficult choice/selection process as Rachel was in fact the only candidate that came forward 🙂 but I must say that we are absolutely delighted that she has, and judging by the response on Wednesday so are all of you!
Concert Notes available – loads more help with practising – and don’t forget to pin down your audience!
With less than 2 weeks left to the concert it’s time to get some commitment from those family members and friends and buy some tickets for our Autumn Concert. You can buy them from the Admin team before our rehearsal if you want to avoid commission, or at any time on our website wherever you see the Book Now button.
Lovely to see everyone last Wednesday in such good spirits and raring to go!! We certainly started off this term with a loud Hallelujah thanks to Handel!
On behalf of Rachel I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the trouble to fill out the music requirements form – it really does help us get our orders right which in turn helps the choir to keep hold of our proverbial purse strings! The form has now been de-activated, so if you need to purchase any more music, or haven’t told her your requirements yet (naughty step will be provided!) please ask Rachel at choir.
Hello all you gorgeous people! We do hope you’re having a marvellous Summer, and that you don’t mind turning your mind to the coming months of colder weather, cosy fireplaces, chestnuts roasting on them and…yes…Christmas!!
Rachel, that most dilligent of librarians, has been very busy sourcing all the various music scores and books for our Christmas programme.
The love of singing conquers all!
Despite thunderstorms, gale-force winds, heavy rain, severe weather warnings and the fear of frizzy hair, a dozen or so of The Leconfield Singers battled their way to Chiddingfold in Surrey yesterday to sing at a wedding.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Wright family for their kindness and generosity, and for inviting us to be part of such a beautiful service filled with love, joy and happiness. [That was shamelessly plagiarised from Amanda’s Facebook post…!]
The great news for the choir is that we received a fantastically generous donation of £500
