Now here’s the thing…can you remember what we should have been doing tonight? In fact a week ago last year we were singing in the Royal Festival Hall blissfully unaware that today’s planned concert in Arundel Cathedral would have to be cancelled….my heart sank when the reminder popped up in my calendar today. It certainly does make one very appreciative of being able to sing together as a choir in such wonderful venues, but we will certainly do our best to ensure those times return as soon as possible and we will appreciate them all the more for their absence!
On this theme do try to keep the original choir tour dates (15th-19th July) free in case we are able to host an outside event in our area and perhaps even do some singing as a choir if we can adhere to Social Distancing rules in place at the time.
But enough of future possibilities – over to the here and now, and I must say the array of silly hats at last Wednesday’s rehearsal was most impressive, not least Graham’s furry number…! Here are a couple of screenshots taken to give a flavour….
New music for Wednesday!
Meanwhile we have some new music for you to print and practise for Wednesday’s rehearsal – Graham is throwing us the challenge of an 8-parter….!! As well as going over Beati Quorum we will be learning Crucifixus by Antonio Lotti.
As ever, you can find full information and rehearsal aids on this and all the other music in our current programme on our Music Programme & Rehearsal Aids page, but to make life easier for you….
