Whilst you’re doing all your choir practice this week can you also have think of organisations that you would like us to support at the end of our concert in May? In the past for our Summer concerts we have given collections to Macmillan Cancer Support, Petworth Cottage Nursing home, The Brain Tumour Charity, Canine Partners, Chestnut Tree House and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to name but a few.  In fact since we started as a choir back in 2012 we have raised over £8,300 for good local and national causes!
It would be nice to support a different one this year, so let us know if you have any ideas, or if you would like us to continue with any of our previous ones.
Please send any ideas to Rachel at chair@leconfieldsingers.co.uk – she’d love to hear from you!

Practice this week

…so whilst you’re thinking about charities etc, you can be humming (in the musical sense 🙂 ) your voice part in any of the following choruses which we will continue to get on top of on Wednesday.  In particular keep practising:
  • And with his Stripes
  • All we like sheep
  • He trusted in God

For any newcomers do please log in to our Members area on this website and you’ll see the Music menu appear as an option.  Then select Music Programme & Practise for lots of rehearsal aids!

Tour Saturday Workshop – Change of date!

We’ve had to change the date of the final Saturday workshop before our tour unfortunately – please change your diaries.  Instead of the 11th July, this final workshop will take place on 4th July – still at the United Reformed Church at 9.30am – 2.30pm.   This workshop is only for tour-goers unless Graham changes his mind closer to the date 🙂

Update on the proposed Royal Albert Hall event 2022

Please keep thinking about possible sponsors – we are currently developing a Sponsorship Pack with the Joint Concert Committee outlining the various sponsorship packages that will be on offer, so this will be available in the next few weeks.  In the meantime it would be great if you could start thinking about people and/or organisations that you could send this to and to start having conversations with them.
If you do have any ideas/updates – please contact Rachel at the above email address.

Arun Choral Society – Bring and Sing – Verdi’s Requiem

We know that you’ll all be going to our workshop which clashes slightly with their concert day rehearsal(!), but do mention this one to any family or friends that would like to sing Verdi’s Requiem in Arundel Cathedral on on 4th with concert on 25th April.  They are looking for experienced singers who have sung this before…..
