Yes – don’t turn up to the URC and wonder whether there’s been a nuclear holocaust!! Everyone will be at The Sacred Heart church on Wednesday and also the following week (11th). Times are as usual and we will attempt to continue to sell tickets or whatever else it is that you would like to buy!
Remember that Archie has organised our
Thanks for a lovely party Richard!
Well we all enjoyed the lovely party celebrating Richard’s birthday on Wednesday. Thanks so much Richard, and Sally and her team for organising all that lovely food, and Jennie for organising the wine through The Haslemere Cellar. We are certainly keeping Sally very busy this term!!
The choir are also very grateful to our stand-in conductor, David Burrows. Handel’s “Happy Birthday” will forever be remembered – hopefully we won’t sing the wrong version at our concert 🙂 and many thanks to Matthew Cooke from the Petworth branch of the Accompanist Rapid Response Unit for stepping in again whilst Jo nurses her shoulder better. We all wish you a speedy recovery Jo!!
Graham will be back on Wednesday fresh from his concert in Moscow with Matthew which was by all accounts a triumph! He’s developed quite a fan base out there and will be available for signing autographs! We have a lot to live up to now so do put in lots of practise time between now and Wednesday to keep Graham’s blood pressure at a safe level…. Lots of help as ever on our Music Programme & Practice page.
Last push to get all our posters out there…and last call for adverts!
We really do need EVERYONE to pin up our posters/flyers EVERYWHERE but particularly around Petworth. This is something that you can all really help with as although tickets are selling well, it would be wonderful to get a full house on Concert Day! If it’s not moving – put a poster on it!! More will be available on Wednesday – just ask Jeannie or our Front Desk bods.
Potential advertisers – if you’re considering it now’s the time to take the plunge before we send the programme to print!! Please complete the Advert Booking form if you’re interested and spread the word amongst family/friends and local businesses.
Did you get your PDFs?
You should by now have received an email from us containing links to PDF files that you can print so that you don’t have to carry some of the heavier books into the concert. We have some pre-printed copies available at £1 each for anyone who doesn’t get on very well with their printer (of which there are quite a few!) or worse, don’t even possess one. Ask Rachel if you need these. Ask Archie if you didn’t get the email.
Still undecided about the Summer Tour – there are still spaces!!
If you’re still tempted but unsure about it, visit our Summer Tour webpage to remind yourself what you’ll be missing if you’re not going…..there are enough tourers to make it work now but we do have spare capacity. The more that come along, the cheaper it is for everyone! Remember you can make your own way there and back and benefit from a discount if you don’t like the travel times (subject to availability).
Did you forget your Nowell! Nowell!?
We have a copy left at the church on 20th November by a Tenor….someone’s not practising!!
