We hope to see as many of you as possible at our Christmas programme workshop tomorrow at the URC!  Doors open 9am for a 9.30am start.  We expect to finish at around 2.30pm.  Please bring refreshments and something to eat for lunch.  Obviously there are some sandwich shops around Petworth but sometimes the lunch break is quite short, so it’s easier if you can bring something with you!

Progress is still good considering attendance this term, but Graham needs our concentration at this point of time before the concert – so your co-operation in keeping chit-chat to a minimum would be greatly appreciated (and I’m not pretending this doesn’t also affect me 🙂 ).

At the workshop Graham will be running through everything in the programme – so it’s really important that everyone makes an effort to attend.  As we’ve been saying attendance has not been great this term for sometimes unavoidable reasons, so we’d like you all to make that final effort and attend the remaining rehearsals so that we can put on a stunning performance!

Concert Notes & Running Order now available!

These are now available for you to download and print online – you’ll need to log in to the Member’s area though….please give me a shout if you need any IT assistance!

We will also bring some pre-printed ones for those of you who are challenged in the printer department….

NOTE: The page is also accessible from the Members Info menu.

Calling all bakers and generally helpful people!

Jeannie and Sally will both be at the workshop tomorrow with their lists for people to sign up to help with publicity, set up etc on the day of the concert and also to do some baking – please sign up – we need and appreciate your help as ever to make the concert a success! Alternatively please email Sally and let her know how you can help/what you can bake!

Remember: being female is not a pre-requisite to any of this!

Christmas concert prep…

  • Posters/flyers are ready for everyone to distribute, so please pick some up tomorrow.  We want to cover the local towns and villages in them and this is something everyone can help with!  Just let Angela/Shelley know that you can help.
  • Tickets continue to sell really well but we’re not at our target yet so please keep asking as we’d love a full audience!  Telephone Box Office continues to be available for those choir members who have missed the rehearsal and wish to buy them.  Remember, the longer you leave it, the less choice in seating you’ll have!

Concert programme – PDFs will be emailed out shortly

Save those back muscles….look out for an email shortly giving you links to PDF files so that you can print out all the Christmas music for your folders in the order of the programme.

Richard Saker’s Birthday Drinkies next Weds!!

Those of you who attended on Wednesday will have heard Rachel announce that Richard has kindly offered to put on a little party for his birthday before choir on Wednesday.  Kick-off will be 7.15pm.  The bar will shut at 7.50pm so that everyone can help to clear up afterwards and be in full voice for our rehearsal starting promptly at 8pm!

Our last 2 rehearsals will be in the Sacred Heart…

Please be aware that due to the Christmas Tree displays in the URC for the last 2 rehearsals of term, the rehearsals of 4th and 11th December will both take place in The Sacred Heart church, Petworth (just next to The Angel Inn).

Our Event has been launched on Social Media!

Please do check out our event on Facebook/Instagram and like the page/event etc.  The more this happens, the more visibility our choir and events will get outside of our choir!
